Description
The AK47 Toast Firepit is an outdoor wood-burning firepit. Design and art blend to present the fire with a contemporary style. Ideal for places where the space is limited, as gardens, terraces, hotels and common spaces. Not only a firepit, but also a wood store and if not operating, it can become a useful supporting surface.
This unit is supplied with a steel plate to cover the combustion chamber which isolates the fire’s residual ash, in order to prevent the escape of residual material in the case of rain or wind. When in operation, the upper part of the firepit does not overheat. With the dedicated stainless-steel grill kit (sold separately) the fire pit can also be used as a barbecue.
Please note, the oxidised version of this firepit is now no longer available. Instead, it is the new and improved Natural Corten Steel version available which will over time, reach the dark brown shade similar to the oxidised version. Please see below the cycle of the Natural Corten Steel firepit.
The Natural Corten steel is supplied in its natural state (blue/black).
The surface has not yet developed the typical protective patina, this patina only develops under natural weathering conditions.
The duration of the oxidation process will then depend on exposure to atmospheric agents.
At the end of the natural cycle of maturation, it reaches the characteristic dark brown shade.
