Fire Pit Fuel

Here at Luxury Outdoor Living, we have a large range of fire pits all with different types of fuels. The main 3 fuels used with our fire pits are gas, bioethanol and firewood/Charcoal. Please find below the differences between each fuel type which will help you find the best fire pit for you. If you would like some further information, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.

Bioethanol Fire Pits

Bioethanol is a renewable energy source made by fermenting the sugar and starch components of plant by-products. These by-products primarily include sugarcane and crops such as grain. Bioethanol fuel is widely considered to be a more environmentally friendly fuel that many alternatives. Our Glammfire and EcoSmart ranges can all be used with bioethanol fuel. Check out a couple from the ranges below.

Gas Fire Pits

Fuel gas is any one of a number of fuels that under ordinary conditions are gaseous. Many fuel gases are composed of hydrocarbons, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, or mixtures thereof. A gas fire pit gives off a great amount of heat and is extremely convenient to use. At just a push of a button, you will be ready to warm yourself on the cold winter nights without having to worry about cleaning up after you have gone inside. The Glammfire collection is also available with gas fuel.

Firewood Fire Pits

Firewood fire pits are the more traditional choice when it comes to fuel types with fire pits. You can get more heat from wood because it burns hotter than both propane and natural gas. This also means that outdoor cooking is easier to accomplish with wood burning applications than gas ones. So for all you chefs out there, fire wood is the way to go! There is nothing quite like the crackling sounds and rustic smells of a natural cedar burning fire place. Our AK47 range are all firewood fire pits!
